The
LINEGEAR 2000 products are highly efficient and use polymeric insulators which
are virtually indestructible. The range varies from a simple isolating device,
to "smart" switches including measuring transformers, programmable logic
circuitry and remotely controlled high level actuators with SCADA compatibility.
Available market information confirms that these features are totally original
even on a world wide basis.
Our
products have been designed in a country with a massive low cost electrification
programme and they bring a new dimension to distribution design in rural systems.
They are especially suited to overhead systems used in high density urban
situations, where the load current is much higher and the need for improved
quality of supply is much greater.
All
the products referred to are in current production, being specified by name
by South African entities, eg. • ESKOM; • Major Metropolitan Substructures;
• Consulting Engineers. All facets of the product have been proven, both by
independent tests (KEMA, SABS) and user service.

the product is confirmed as being cost-effective and user friendly. In manufacture,
the product is designed for local manufacture and is not capital intensive.
Its modular construction is eminently suited to low cost production using conventional
machinery due to commonality of components throughout the range. These products
